TRAVEL DIARY. VANPARTY2

Last time we were very busy filming and eating, this trip was full of parties: stagette, nachos, afterhours, illegal, legal (wink), underground, rooftop, birthday and wedding. I feel like we maxed out on happiness this time around, why don’t you see for yourself..

travel diary. VANPARTY1

Vancouver in summer is the only time I remember when I think of home. I forget it ever rains. In my mind she’s just as I left her, glorious and hot. We stayed an extra-long time because David has a new short film he’s working on with my brother. Now I have a brief window to make orders, do blogposts, and possibly find a job since we’re back again in 2 weeks for 2 weeks.

Here are some pieces of home without captions this time, fill in the blanks with your imagination..

MODERN FAMILY

Thanks to everyone who came out last night, most of you got to see an advanced screening of my fashion film, the rest of you will have to wait until Saturday. Douglas Reynolds Gallery in Vancouver will be showing CYEOMS as part of a big deal artshow my mom is having. Since my whole family is creative in some way we are collectively fluffing our feathers for all to see.

Here’s the invitation that was sent out a while back.

Well.. not the exact invitation. As you probably can’t tell from my adept photoshop skills, I wasn’t there for the official photo but I was able to imperceptibly add myself in, to maintain the illusion that I have a family.

manual holiday

I was fortunate to spend most of December in Vancouver this season. I know it’s the New Year and I should say something about it, but I’m still on Pacific Standard Time and reminiscing.. so that post will have to wait. Here’s a holiday photo diary taken with cameras of varying quality.

Season’s Greetings from the Westcoast! I am knee-deep in family and cats, relaxing to the max and reverting back to childhood mode (ie. cookies and television). My life didn’t change in a way I hoped on Dec 13th but I did get a bathtub full of honest feedback for my ego to soak in. FW2012 is still going to happen but now I feel like I’ve been given a second chance.. a chance at a redesign so young, and so fresh it will turn you all into pedophiles.

Anyways, here I am wandering around Gastown. **TOURIST NOTE** Gastown is a beautiful neighbourhood strategically placed beside the saddest/scummiest street on earth. Stay west of Carrall Street if you aren’t partial to drugs, people on drugs, people who sell drugs or people who should be on drugs.

Hastings, Vancouver's most famous/adventurous street!

VANCATION PT II – photo diary

There are no rocket ships direct from Toronto to Kauai yet. It is atleast a 10 hour flight + layover time with the return flight adding 6 hours in time zones alone. A Vancouver vacation sandwich was our most logical and delicious solution to avoiding extensive travel days. We gorged ourselves on friends, family and pie to prepare for upcoming winter.
