dominicana – photo diary

Picking up my life again, it’s weird to imagine how simple it was sitting by the pool and sipping stoli con limonadas with my good friends in the caribbean.. For the past year I’ve been having deep conversations with my computer screen so it was nice to see Melissa lagging and freezing less than usual, though still a little bit, haha. I finally got my photos but David’s turned out better so let’s let those do the talking while I add ambiguous footnotes.

I love the unpredictable, rebellious nature of manual film. It’s like a surprise I give to myself when my photos actually turn out. This high-risk venture in memory capture is the only form of gambling I’ll probably ever indulge in. Lucky for me (and you) Dollarama sells disposable cameras for only $2, so get used to seeing my deliciously grainy, flat photography.

time for fort myers!

bike myers ’12

David and I have been in America’s wang this past week. You may remember we went last year to shoot my swim campaign, if so, thank you for remembering. Fort Myers was just how we left it, except this time instead of spring breakers, it was only spring ELDERLY. Our days were a blur of sunshine, long walks on the beach, and pounds of buttery shrimp. My photos are being developed so here’s a day we rode bikes into town.

VANCATION PT II – photo diary

There are no rocket ships direct from Toronto to Kauai yet. It is atleast a 10 hour flight + layover time with the return flight adding 6 hours in time zones alone. A Vancouver vacation sandwich was our most logical and delicious solution to avoiding extensive travel days. We gorged ourselves on friends, family and pie to prepare for upcoming winter.

JP IV – travel diary

I’m sorry for the delay friends, I somehow managed to bring all but my most precious memories home. I’ve been waiting for my patient, amazing, handsome brother to send 50gbs of raw photos and HD video across time and space. thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou

KAUA’I, HAWAI’I – aka Dinosaur Island. A vacation from my vacation in Vancouver, to celebrate multiple birthdays and anniversaries of the Innanen + Vallillee clans and their life partners. I am very MAHALO for such a beautiful reunion of such lovely people. (THAT MEANS THANK YOU IN HAWAIIAN)

VANcation pt I – travel diary

After a month of travelling I have finally returned with loads of great photos of me having fun for you guys to enjoy. There are so many I’ve decided to break them into bite sized portions for you to savour.

As soon as we got to Vancouver we went on a 5 hour road trip to a little town called Oliver, right in the heart of wine country. Our friend Andy’s “cabin” has more amenities than most homes. After 7 months of friendless winter we were warmly reunited under the hot Okanagan sun.

welcome
